Happy Belated Mother's Day!

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all of you beautiful mommies out there! I was spoiled ridiculously rotten by my husband and two little boys (Easton and furbaby, Ritzy) :-)

Being a mother is such a gift and not a job that I take lightly. It is a job like no other - one where you will feel overwhelmed, stressed, emotional, happy, sad, angry, joyful, tired and sometimes - all of those feelings at the same time!
I cherish being a mother so much and I hope that even if you aren't a mother, that you enjoyed the day honoring your own mother or the motherlike figure in your life.
Speaking of Mother's Day. Look at this beautiful picture sent to me by friend/client Kait of herself and her beautiful baby girl that was taken on Mother's Day. To me, this picture is not only a celebration of motherhood, but the beauty and bond between mother and child.
Kait and her baby girl, "B", are modeling my new line of products called "Mommy & Me" and I give Kait all of the credit for coming up with the idea. I have been asked in the past if I could make baby headbands but was so consumed with my adult pieces that I kept baby headbands on the back burner....then Kait one day, upon purchasing her "Gabbi" piece in cream, told me she was waiting for me to creating a matching piece for baby girl "B" and the thought of these two lovely ladies in matching Elegant Elle pieces made me all giddy and so to work I went creating a piece for baby girl "B", how could I not? I love families coordinating and with hair accessories? SO FAB!!
I am quite happy with the outcome and am excited to start unveiling the "Mommy & Me" line very soon!

To those of you with baby girls/toddlers/little girls, which piece from The Elegant Elle would YOU like to see in a "Mommy & Me" set?

Fans....

I have been MIA, not from my work, but from my blog....many apologies. I am balancing life as a wife, mother, part-time employee, business owner, artist (notice the business owner comes first? I wish artistry did, but you can't sell the art without the business and the business sadly, can take more time), house cleaner, chef, personal shopper, dog food maker....oh and friend, daughter, sister....yeah, you can see where I am going with this, can't you?

So sadly, my blog has suffered....but....I am back!

I have a little gem to share, beautiful Annie ordered the Poppy Headband in light pink for her darling little girl (look at that precious little face?!?) for Easter....I think she looks absolutely delightful!

Treasury

I finally obtained my first Etsy Treasury to Curate. I was over the moon, I have been waiting and trying to "pounce" in order to obtain a slot as a Curator for a long time.

I named my treasury "Feminine Wiles" on a whim. I am quite happy with the end results....what do you think?

Everyday wear #2

Lazy again, at least I admit it. :-)

Here is a photo of another "everyday wear" of one of my pieces.

Out and about with my hubby and son to look at Christmas trees from around the world during the holidays. Lace top and Jeans and a piece of The Elegant Elle - see, you don't have to be fancy to wear Elle!

"Fans" of The Elegant Elle

As I start to receive pictures from buyers, I'd like to start featuring them on my blog! I love to see my pieces in action! Look how lovely "Poppy" looks on these two gals!

JoAnna K. contacted me for a custom order. She wanted one "Poppy" for herself, a smaller version for her 2 years old daughter (not pictured) and a headband version for her niece. I was more than happy to oblige and I think they look sensational on these beautiful gals!

Isn't her hair to die for?

Daily Wear Post #1

So, I am cheating. I didn't take a picture of myself wearing one today....Mainly because my husband left for work long before I cared to get up (day off today!) so I will share with you a picture I already have of an "every day wear" of one of my pieces:

My son's birthday party.

So, it wasn't just any 'ole day, it was a party, but still. Not a formal event. I wore a gray with pink and orange argyle cardigan sweater with jeans and Blair in Pink: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=38161382

See, you don't have to have a formal event to wear The Elegant Elle too....they add a little bit of something to any occasion you have coming up, or any day!

Daily wear?

So, I have received a lot of comments that people feel that The Elegant Elle hair accessories are only for more formal wear. I politely disagree. I was thinking about posting once (or more) a week, a snapshot of me wearing one of my pieces with an everyday outfit to show how truly versatile they are.
I think I will start tomorrow....Keep an eye out!
