Happy Belated Mother's Day!

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all of you beautiful mommies out there! I was spoiled ridiculously rotten by my husband and two little boys (Easton and furbaby, Ritzy) :-)

Being a mother is such a gift and not a job that I take lightly. It is a job like no other - one where you will feel overwhelmed, stressed, emotional, happy, sad, angry, joyful, tired and sometimes - all of those feelings at the same time!
I cherish being a mother so much and I hope that even if you aren't a mother, that you enjoyed the day honoring your own mother or the motherlike figure in your life.
Speaking of Mother's Day. Look at this beautiful picture sent to me by friend/client Kait of herself and her beautiful baby girl that was taken on Mother's Day. To me, this picture is not only a celebration of motherhood, but the beauty and bond between mother and child.
Kait and her baby girl, "B", are modeling my new line of products called "Mommy & Me" and I give Kait all of the credit for coming up with the idea. I have been asked in the past if I could make baby headbands but was so consumed with my adult pieces that I kept baby headbands on the back burner....then Kait one day, upon purchasing her "Gabbi" piece in cream, told me she was waiting for me to creating a matching piece for baby girl "B" and the thought of these two lovely ladies in matching Elegant Elle pieces made me all giddy and so to work I went creating a piece for baby girl "B", how could I not? I love families coordinating and with hair accessories? SO FAB!!
I am quite happy with the outcome and am excited to start unveiling the "Mommy & Me" line very soon!

To those of you with baby girls/toddlers/little girls, which piece from The Elegant Elle would YOU like to see in a "Mommy & Me" set?

  1. Hello. I couldn't e-mail you back as you're a "no-reply" blogger so I'll answer your question on here about using the ASCP wax while pregnant. I did use it while pregnant. I used a mask, wore gloves, long sleeves so nothing touched my skin, and had windows wide open the whole time. My baby is just fine but it's up to you if it's safe or not. I couldn't find a lot about it. Elyse over at Shabby Sweet Tea had her husband wax for her while pregnant as she didn't want to risk it. Some other bloggers that used the paint and wax all the time thought that all of my precautions seemed pretty safe. Again, it's up to you as there isn't a lot of info out there about it (at least that I could find). Hope this helps! ~ Jamie
